How To Cleanse Your System With A 3 Day Juice Fast
When you endeavor to be healthy, the most important thing to fix first is to cleanse the toxins from your body so you can have a fresh start. One of the best ways to cleanse your body is to embark on a 3 day juice fast. My method is simple and can be performed by most adults. This method can be the foundation to creating good health habits and a healthier, happier you!
To begin the juice fast you will need only 48 oz of prune juice, 3 gallons of preservative free apple juice and 3 gallons of distilled water. You should try to adopt a sleeping schedule that comes close to 7 am to 10-11 pm.
When you wake up around 7 am, immediately drink 16 oz of prune juice and then 8 oz of apple juice. The prune juice is beneficial to the process because it acts as a natural laxative. It also has the wonderful ability to draw toxins from your body into the digestive system and then ultimately eliminated through the bowels. The apple juice is also remarkably good for your body.
Then, at approximately 7:30, you will drink 8 oz of distilled water. For the rest of the day, you will alternate by drinking 8 oz of apple juice at the top of the hour and then by drinking 8 oz of water at the bottom of the hour. Do this until you go to sleep at around 10 or 11 at night.
One thing you can do to aid with the elimination of the toxins in your body is to take one tablespoon of olive oil 3 times a day. This is not exactly a tasty option at first, but it will improve digestive functions during this period of purge and elimination.
After 3 days of this prescription, you can choose to do one of three things:
1) If you are up for it, you can fast for an additional two days. The fourth day should be a day to drink only water. By this time, your body will feel very pure and lean. This day will further purify you and make your strong and vital. On the fifth day, continue the juice fast model for the entire day. From this point going forward you can gradually work yourself into vegetable juices, raw fruits and vegetables and then some legumes and light meat.
2) If you choose to skip the first option then you will want to simply gradually work yourself into vegetable juices, raw fruits and vegetables and then some legumes and light meat.
3) The last thing that you could do would be to give into temptation and binge on bad food. I highly recommend that you avoid this option at all causes. If you do go back to eating bad food then you will have wasted your time and effort and you will be miserable to boot!
